Description: In this essay, I was explaining how everything went after finishing my media adaptation and argumentative essay. Also I shared my thoughts and feelings after finishing both assignments.

CRA Essay

After finishing my media adaptation, some processes I went through to produce this piece included brainstorming creative concepts, finding contrasting images to highlight the effects of fast food versus healthy meals, and ensuring the visuals effectively communicated the intended message. I also got into how different diets affect energy levels and well being and picked images that I thought would really connect with people. Finally, I refined the memes to make sure they were both interesting and got the point across.

Some considerations I made after making my series of memes, I considered how to make the content visually appealing and easy to understand for a modern audience. I really focused on using relatable imagery and clear messages as you can see in my media adaptation to ensure the key points from my essay were effectively communicated. Also I thought about how to keep
everything engaging and relevant to capture people’s attention by also making it funny towards the end. I made sure to use humor and relatable situations to connect with people on a personal level and I also made sure I paid attention to the visual design to make the memes eye-catching and shareable.

After making a series of memes, my standards for this piece of work was to make sure that the content was both informative and engaging. I mainly aimed for clarity in the messages, the visuals to be eye catching, and relatable. Basically, I aimed for something that people would understand quickly and find engaging enough to share. I believe I met my standards by selecting
imagery that resonated with the audience, by using humor and relatable situations that people go through in the real world. It seems like the memes did a good job of getting the key points across and keeping people interested, so I’m happy with how they turned out.

I researched modern media styles and features to help me. I looked into what makes content on social media platforms engaging, which was the type of humor, relatable scenarios, and mostly visually appealing designs. To fit my essay into these constraints, I had to break things down and focus on the essentials. I made sure each meme had a straightforward message that was easy to grasp and glance at. I also chose visuals that were eye catching and relatable, making the content more engaging and shareable.

After finishing my essay and adaptation, I’d give myself a B because while the memes were effective in communicating the main points and were engaging, I think I could’ve improved more or added some more things to my visuals. But i’ll also say I give myself a B because of the brainstorming. Brainstorming is a lot which is how everything got put together. Maybe the
visuals could have been more creative, or the messages could have been refined a bit more or to make them even clearer. I’d give myself a B- on my essay because I feel like I could’ve added more. Overall, I’m happy with the effort but I see areas where I could do way better.

I believe I did a better job on the memes/visuals because I feel like they are more engaging than my essay. I had some creative ideas, like contrasting images of a marathon runner after a healthy meal versus a couch potato after fast food consumption. Also I had a split image showing a person eating fast food versus enjoying a healthy meal. This clearly illustrates the difference in
energy levels and well-being. As you can see, these kinds of comparisons really drive the point home.

Some goals I would set for myself for next time I would try using different design tools or apps to make images more eye-catching because the app I used to make my visuals was somewhat giving me a hard time so next time I would find a better app or research a better editing app for the high quality so it can stand out and grab attention even more. Another goal I would set for myself next time is to maybe ask my followers for their input on meme ideas or I can run polls to see what topics they find more relatable. This would definitely help me create content that resonates even more with my audience. Although, I am very excited on how everything came out
but next time it will be even better.
